2023 PGA Picks: World Wide Technology Championship Odds and Expert Betting Predictions

This week, the PGA Tour heads down to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, for the World Wide Technology Championship. Rising stars, Ludvig Aberg, Cameron Young, and Sahith Theegala, headline one of the stronger fields we have seen this Fall. We will look to keep our momentum rolling as we have identified winners in four of the last five events. Fresh off a Morikawa victory in the Zozo Championship, bettors are sitting at +3,205 if you have placed 1-unit on every fall selection.

There is also much more on the line in the fall for players looking to solidify their eligibility for the 2024 season. A victory during the fall will earn a two-year Tour exemption, 500 FedEx Cup points, entry to the season-opening Sentry and the Players Championship, as well as eligibility into majors that have invited Tour winners in the past. Here is a look at the Top 12 and ties with the lowest golf odds to win it all at online sportsbooks

Course Characteristics of Those Who Can Win or Secure Winning Golf Bets

El Cardonal at Diamante will be the host course this week, and measures at 7,452 yards and plays as a par 72 with Paspalum greens. Tiger Woods designed this course and it opened in 2014. Woods has cited that El Cardonal was strongly influenced by the Southern California courses that he grew up playing. It features a standard four par fives and four par threes. Three of the four par fives are reachable in two shots. Given the wide fairways and large greens, I would not be surprised if someone reached the 25-under-par mark to get the victory this weekend.

Ludvig Aberg +900

Aberg has been 100% dialed in since the end of the summer. He finished T4 at the Czech Masters and then won the European Omega Masters on the DP World Tour. Since then, he has continued his hot streak on the PGA Tour finishing T10, T2, and T13 in three Fall swing events. Over this stretch, he ranks first in this field in SG: Tee-to-Green, SG: Off-the-Tee and SG: Total. With the course measuring over 7,400 yards, his distance and off-the-tee accuracy will be a major weapon this weekend.

Sahith Theegala +1600

Look for Theegala to continue his momentum and pick up his second career PGA Tour victory. He won the Fortinet Championship in September and is superb on the greens. Theegala’s Fortinet breakthrough followed a solid end to the FedEx Cup playoffs where he finished 13th in Memphis and 15th in Illinois. Last time out, he finished 19th in the Zozo Championship. He grew up in California and Tiger Woods specifically designed this course to resemble CA golf courses. The 25-year-old is bursting with form and confidence. Back Sahith to be a winner yet again this weekend.

Stephan Jaeger +2500

Jaeger has finished T45 and T25 in his two starts this fall, but he ended the regular season strong with a T14 at the Wyndham Championship and a T20 at the FedEx St. Jude Championship in August. He is one of the best long iron players in this field, ranking 11th in proximity 175-200 yards, and 14th in proximity 200 yards plus. He also ranks third in birdies or better gained and second in par five scoring. He has 10 top-25s in 31 starts this year and he will look to keep it going this week.
