The 2023 Ryder Cup will be held this year at Marco Simone Golf & Country Club on the outskirts of Rome, Italy.

The Americans will look to end a 30-year drought on European soil after a decisive win at Whistling Straits in Wisconsin two years ago.

Here are our top 2023 Ryder Cup best bets, picks and predictions for arguably golf’s biggest event.

Ryder Cup Odds: Best bets, picks, and predictions for 2023

The Ryder Cup is a three-day tournament featuring the top 12 European golfers facing off against America’s finest dozen.

There are three different games that will take place between Sept 29 and Oct. 1:

  • Four-ball (each member of a two-man team plays his own ball)
  • Foursomes (each two-man team plays one ball per hole with the players taking turns until each hole is complete)
  • Singles (each match features one player from each team)

Each match is worth one point, with matches ending in a tie worth a half point to each side. The first team to reach 14.5 points wins the Ryder Cup.

The first two days are reserved for four-ball and foursomes, while the final day consists of 12 singles matches. Here are our 2023 Ryder Cup best bets, picks and predictions.

Kentucky sportsbook bonuses: Bet on the Ryder Cup in Kentucky

Kentucky sports betting is going live on Sept. 28 and bettors can claim top sportsbook bonuses from the sites below.

2023 Ryder Cup odds: Outright winner (USA +100, Europe +115, Tie +1000)

The Americans dominated in the United States two years ago but last won in Europe in 1993. Since 1979, the Europeans have 11 wins to the nine for the U.S., including four of the last six.

Team Europe is top heavy this year, with Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm and Viktor Hovland leading the way, while the U.S. is perceived to be the deeper squad. Still, it’s hard to scoff at plus-money odds on the back of a 30-year trend.

Our pick: Europe +115

Ryder Cup odds: Outright spread (Europe -3, +300)

The final Ryder Cup scores are rarely close, so no matter what side you back, there is value in playing the spread. The U.S. dominated 19-9 two years ago, while the Europeans have won their last two with scores of 17.5 to 10.5 and 16.5 to 11.5. Since 2002, only two Ryder Cups have been decided by fewer than two points.

2023 Ryder Cup picks: Top USA scorer (Xander Schauffele, +600)

While Scottie Scheffler might seem like the obvious choice, we like the value of Schauffele better. Xander is a proven gamer, who finished his Ryder Cup debut in 2021 with a 3-1 record. He also won an Olympic gold medal the same year. Schauffele’s current form is top-notch, with the 29-year old coming off a second-place result at the Tour Championship.

2023 Ryder Cup picks: Top European scorer (Rory McIlroy, +430)

You’ll get slightly longer odds with Viktor Hovland, but we still like McIlroy in this spot. Rory is playing the best golf of his life and is coming off a season where he had two wins and an incredible 13 top-10 finishes. He’s currently second in the OWGR.

2023 Ryder Cup predictions: Top USA rookie scorer (Brian Harman, +430)

There are a few enticing rookies to choose from here, including Max Homa and Wyndham Clark. But the value on Brian Harman here is irresistible. Harman turned heads earlier this year with his utter domination at the British Open on his way to his first major and third career victory. The 36-year-old had seven top-10 finishes this season and has shot up to ninth in the OWGR.

Ryder Cup predictions: Top European rookie scorer (Sepp Straka, +280)

Ludvig Aberg is the favorite in this category, but the better value is on Sepp Straka. Straka had a brilliant finish to his season that saw him win the John Deere Classic, claim a T2 at the British Open, and take home a whopping paycheck at the Tour Championship with a T14.
