The Detroit Tigers are closing in on Spring Training, and things are starting to ramp up. Prospect Lists are beginning to flood into timelines on social media, and perhaps the biggest one has been unveiled. MLB cot com's list has been revealed.

Keep an eye out for the Motor City Bengals Top Prospect List for a glance inside the future of the Detroit Tigers organization. Selfless plug aside, the Tigers had three prospects named to the MLB dot com version of the list.

Let's jump into it; the MLB dot com top 100 list includes a whole crop of new names. Baltimore Orioles Gunnar Henderson, Arizona Diamondbacks Corbin Carroll, and New York Mets Francisco Álvarez are the three names who top the list heading into Spring Training.

When it comes to the Tigers, Jackson Jobe, Jace Jung, and Wilmer Flores made the list. Let's save the scouting reports for the MCB Top Prospect List, but here's a little teaser at each of these three prospects and why they were included in the MLB dot com list.

Jobe is a right-handed pitcher the Tigers selected with the third overall pick in the 2021 MLB Draft. He's got the pitchability and projectability to be a frontline starter in a big league rotation. The key with Jobe has been, and will continue to be, patience.

He's got an outlier slider with spin rates up around (and above) 3,000 RPMs which could be an elite pitch if he continues to define his pitch mix better. The fastball is not an "F-You" fastball, as some scouts would say, but if he can induce better movement to avoid opponents torching it, he will be able to have more success in 2023.

Jung was the Tigers' first-round pick in last summer's draft and was the last first-rounder of the Al Avila era. Jung is a bat-first infielder who's shown the ability to hit for power. The issue is he is slated to be a second baseman with a quirky stance.

The odds are Jung is going to hit. He proved he could hit in college over the past few years with the Texas Tech University program and is looking to settle in during his first full season with the organization. The big thing for Jung is going to be improving his athleticism and ability to play the field, on top of showing the hit- & power-tools that the Tigers are expecting him to have.

Perhaps the most shocking of these three is Flores being included on this list. The 2020 undrafted free agent started turning some heads and getting some attention in 2022 after his performance vaulted his stock as a prospect.

Flores is a right-hander who has continued to build out his pitch mix and used 2022 as a breakout season to really showcase that. He has improved his pitchability as well. The key thing for Flores is going to be proving he can do it at the next level; if all goes well, he could be a back-end arm.
