5 Longshots for the 2022-23 Norris Trophy

Cale Makar won the Norris Trophy last season. Victor Hedman finished third last year. Sports Betting Dime lists five players who could win the award in 2022-23 season, but none of them is a long shot.

Aaron Ekblad is an integral player for the Presidents’ Trophy winners, the Florida Panthers. He has struggled to stay healthy in recent seasons, playing 35 games in 2020-21 season and 61 in 2021-22 season. Ek blad finished sixth in Norris Trophy voting even with the shortened season last year.

Last season’s Calder Trophy winner, the Detroit Red Wings” Moritz Seider, is a longshot for the Norris Trophy. Seidler scored 50 points in 82 games last season.

Devon Toews is a long shot for the 2022-23 Norris Trophy. He has struggled to stay healthy and has never played more than 68 games in a season. Last season, in 66 games, he managed 57 points and was an absurd plus-52.

Alex Pietrangelo played 80 games and scored 44 points last season. He was a plus-seven and played 24:39 a night. Pieterangelo has been in the top five three times, but he hasn't found his groove since joining the Vegas Golden Knights.

Jaccob Slavin is one of the best defenders in the NHL. He is a longshot for the 2022-23 Norris Trophy. Slavins' 42 points last season was a career-high.
