A guide and tips for the Group 1 Caulfield Cup

The Caulfield Cup takes place at Caullfield on Saturday. It's worth $5 million with winning connections to rake in $3 million. Last year Incentivise won in dominant fashion. Verry Elleegant, Mer De Glace and Best Solution have won recently.

Ciaron Maher & David Eustace and Jamie Kah are the favourites for the Caulfield Cup.

Annabel Neasham is a former Irish horse. He won twice last prep including at G2 level over 2200m at Eagle Farm. Tommy Berry will give him every chance.

Ciaron Maher & David Eustace / Mark Zahra (57.5kg) are the stablemates to the favourite Smokin’ Romans. Smoking‘ Romans has raced well over 2400m previously and his last run in the Turnbull suggests he will run on well.

Edward Cummings and Josh Parr are going to race in the Caulfield Cup. Edward Cummings is a mare, but her form has been worrying recently. Josh is going for the middleweight position.
