Bayley Fritsch kicked 12 goals in three finals during the Demons' 2021 finals campaign. He kicked six goals against the Bulldogs in the Grand Final. David King says Fritch is an awkward match-up for opponents. Bailey Williams might play on Firth first.

The Dogs and Dees are playing a rivalry match on Wednesday night. The Deers beat the Dogs in last year's grand final. Luke Beveridge left the door open for a spicy encounter.

Mitch McGovern impressed in the AAMI Community Series. He will play in defence against Richmond's forward line set-up on Thursday. Jonathan Brown believes Mcgovern is a natural in that position. If it works, his five-year deal on an average of $800,000 could look quite a bit better.

Richards have had a good pre-season. Robbie Tarrant has bolstered the defensive post and allowed Noah Balta to swing forward. Dustin Martin and Trent Cotchin have prepared well for the season ahead.

Port Adelaide lost to the Western Bulldogs in the preliminary final. They will play the Lions at the Gabba in their first game of the season. Last year's Round 7 clash between the two sides was won by the Power by 49 points.
