NASCAR heads its way into Gladeville, Tennessee (Nashville Superspeedway) for the seventeenth race of the 2023 season. Nashville is a 1.333-mile oval with 14 degree banking in the turns. The race distance totals 400 miles (300 laps). What crazy things may happen on Sunday night?

This weekend’s race is two weeks after the Toyota Save Mart 350 where Martin Truex Jr. took advantage of a fairly early caution and never looked back. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver led the second half of the race en route to his fourth career win at Sonoma.

The table below lists the complete slate of NASCAR Cup Series odds for the Ally 400 from Nashville (win, podium finish, and top-five finish). Under the table, find the Sonoma predictions and best bets for this weekend’s NASCAR action.

NASCAR Ally 400 Odds

Tyler Reddick enters this race yet as a +450 favorite with Kyle Larson and Chase Elliott close behind. However, four other drivers come in at +900 or shorter. Last week’s race winner Kyle Busch is at +900. Expect this Sunday to be mostly calm and mild.

NASCAR drivers get around the track with a 25-30-55 stage lap setup when the flag drops for the Sunday afternoon race beginning again after 3:30 pm ET on FOX.

So, the Hendrick Motorsports Racing could not get things going at Sonoma. However, Kyle Larson and Chase Elliott have each won races on the Nashville Superspeedway course. This year could prove to be more of a challenge as hot conditions are expected this weekend balanced with the chance of thunderstorms Sunday night. Yes, the weather can always change but the tires already did. NASCAR went with its Auto Club/Vegas package for this event.

Consequently, Caesars Sportsbook tossed out a few different numbers. For one, Kevin Harvick is only +1500, but William Byron and Chase Elliott lie at +800 while Daniel Suarez lingers at +4000. Most bettors may focus too much on Ross Chastain who was fast late at Nashville. However, Suarez figures to have the same package at a far better number.

Both races featured ten or more cautions (11 in 2021 and ten more in 2022).

Does Toyota Seal The Deal Here?

While Hendrick is considered likely to triumph, can they? NASCAR Cup Series odds keeps riding with Chevy (top four drivers now). That is led by Kyle Larson and now Kyle Busch. Denny Hamlin and William Byron are right there along with Martin Truex Jr.

Correlation is interesting here. We mentioned the tires on the longest concrete track in NASCAR this season. Expect lines and grooves to be formed early. The key will be getting those multiple desired grooves for better driving as the race line drifts from low to high on Sunday night. Toyota dominated early and did at Gateway before the weather rolled in. Could the same thing happen again?

Practice begins Friday evening with a 60-minute session. Saturday qualifying begins at 1:00 pm ET. Expect faster track conditions.

Ally 400 from Nashville Superspeedway Predictions & Picks

So, Saturday and Sunday look hot and muggy. That is great news but not for the drivers. Expect qualifying as weekend temperatures will be around 90 degrees.

Can Kyle Larson, Chase Elliott, and William Byron get up front late? Also, does Trackhouse make an impact like last year? After all, Daniel Suarez and Ross Chastain were very fast. Then, there are all the Toyota cars who were lightning quick at Gateway before cooler track conditions struck down their chances.

Again, the weather will need to be watched.  For head-to-head driver matchups, Ryan Blaney over Ross Chastain at -105. Keep an eye for more of these wagers on social media this weekend and how Kyle Larson looks in qualifying.

  • Top Pick: Denny Hamlin to Win (+750)
  • Other Contenders: Chase Elliott (+850), William Byron (+850), Kyle Busch (+750), Martin Truex Jr. (+750)
  • Longshots:  Alex Bowman (+3500), Daniel Suarez (+5500)
