Alouettes vs Argonauts CFL Odds, Picks and Predictions

The CFL East Division finals kick off on Sunday afternoon with the Toronto Argonauts hosting the Montreal Alouettes at BMO Field. This will be the third time these teams have faced each other within the last month. The Als aim to carry over the momentum from last week's victory against the Tiger-Cats and advance to the Grey Cup for the first time since 2010.

Alouettes are 6-2 SU (5-1-3 ATS) in their last 8 games. Montreal beat the Ticats in the playoffs. Toronto won the first two games this season. The Alouette's pass defense is better than Toronto's but Montreal's ground game is capable of taking over in cold weather.

Montreal is coming off a 28-17 road win against the Ticats in the East Division semifinals. The Argonauts lost 38-33 to the Alouettes in their season finale. Both teams had to play without several key players because of playoff seeding. In the previous week, the Argos edged the Montreal 24-23. This was the first time the teams met this season. Montreal won the game in Week 1 20-19. The Als have a strong ground game led by William Stanback. Andrew Harris is expected to return to their team after missing most of the season with a fractured ankle.

The Alouettes and Argonauts combined for 71 points in a Week 21 shootout. The Als have played much better on the defensive side of the ball since naming Noel Thorpe their defensive coordinator after Week 4. Montreal held the Ticats to 287 yards and had six sacks last week.

The Under is 6-2 in Montreal's last eight games overall.
