Angels vs. Phillies prediction and odds for Wednesday, Aug. 29 (Philadelphia completes series sweep)

Watch out, the Phillies continue its heater and now they're one win away from their second straight series sweep!

Today's series finale is a matinee matchup against the Angels. Can they win their six straight game?

Before we take a look at the odds for the game, let me tell you about this great deal from Caesars Sportsbook. For a limited time, Caesars will over your first bet on any MLB game up to $1,250! Click the link below to take advantage of this great offer.

If you think I'm going to stop betting on the Phillies, you'd be absolutely wrong. In fact, I'm going to bet on them to win on the run line as well, meaning they'll need to win by at least two runs.

Today's game will be a battle of lefties as Reid Detmers (5.03 ERA) of the Angels will face-off against Christopher Sanchez (3.33 ERA) of the Phillies.

Detmers has been terrible this month, sporting a 8.68 ERA across four starts. Things won't get easier for him tonight as he takes on a Phillies offense that's fourth in OPS (.864) against left-handed pitchers dating back to the All-Star break.

Let's also consider the Angels have completely thrown in the towel on the season. Yesterday, they waived a handful of players in an unprecedented move. The vibes can't be high in Los Angeles right now.

Yeah, I think we're going to bet on the Phillies tonight, my friends.
