Luxembourg won the Irish Champion Stakes at Leopardstown. Ryan Moore steered his colt home by half a length from Onesto. The Camelot colts had to fight off competition from Christophe Soumillon and Vadeni. Aidan O'Brien won for the 11th time and the fourth time in a row. The crowd of 10,280 roared Luxembourg home. Luxembourg was injured in the Derby and was ruled out of the race. He was re-invented after his comeback at the Royal Whip Stake at Curragh. A date with destiny for him and Baaeed now looms at Longchamp.
