Around The Tracks: A tip for each meeting on Saturday 1 July

Timeform provide a selection for each of the seven meetings due to take place in Britain and Ireland on Saturday.

George Boughey's Via Sistina can land this Group 1 prize. She sets a high standard judged on her facile success in the Dahlia Stakes at Newmarket last time and the daughter of Fastnet Rock is fancied to get the best of the home team among which Saint-Cloud winner Above The Curve and Irish 1000 Guineas third Comhra are feared most.

She’s firmly on the up and the step up in distance should bring about more improvement from Spring Fever. She pulled seven lengths clear of the third when chasing home Dayzee at Salisbry last time and is fancied to get the better of a fellow improver in Saisissante.

He’s been in good form of late but remains on a workable mark and Lexington Knight is fancied to get back to winning ways. A winner at Doncaster two starts ago he ran a cracker when touched off by Genesius at Thirsk last time (pair well clear). He’s only up one pound and should go well again.

Revitalised by first-tme blinkers when fourth at Goodwood last time, Military Two Step is of interest here. She’s slipped down to an appealing mark, is a previous course and distance winner and has the assistance of Franny Norton. She can get the better of El Borracho.

He was well below on soft ground here last time but Swayze is worth another chance returned to a livelier surface. He’d run out an impressive winner at Haydock the time before and a better showing can be anticipated on Saturday. Goodwood-scorer Ferrous and Spring Bloom head up the dangers, along with Isle of Lismore.

This is a decent novice contest, with Dapperling taken to get off the mark at the fifth attempt having shown a fair level of form in defeat at Bath on her last two outings. She was well clear of the third when beaten by an odds-on favourite last time and can master Graceful Thunder who found Royal Ascot too much of an ask but could build on her debut success back in more realistic company.

He looked a good prospect in winning his first two starts and Solar Orbiter didn't lose much in defeat when runner-up on handicap debut at Kempton last time. He's fancied to resume progress and score at the likely expense of Mudamer, who is well handicapped and showing positive signs for his new stable.
