Arsenal can seize control of Group B by beating Sevilla here.

Mikel Arteta was left reeling by a controversial Newcastle goal that condemned the Gunners to defeat at the weekend but he needs to dust his side off for this crucial Champions League clash.

This is Arsenal’s first season back in this competition and they can take a huge step towards the round of 16.

Arteta’s side have shown they can compete at the top of the Premier League since the start of last season and going all the way in the Champions League isn’t beyond them.

The financial might of the top clubs in England is virtually unchallenged so Arsenal are fourth favourites at 9/1 to lift this trophy despite lacking experience at this level in recent years.

Sevilla earned their place in the Champions League by winning UEFA’s second-tier tournament. The Spanish side have earned a reputation for being Europa League specialists and they could well drop back into that competition this season.

Thomas Partey is still injured for Arsenal, while Emile Smith Rowe and Gabriel Jesus will also miss this match. Martin Odegaard is a doubt but will face a late fitness test.

Sergio Ramos could be out of this one for the visitors.

Arsenal vs Sevilla Tips

Arsenal To Win & Over 30.5 Throws In The Match

Arsenal were unbeaten in the Premier League before the defeat at St. James’ Park.

The Gunners were busy in the summer transfer window as they looked to close the gap on Manchester City and they look set to challenge for silverware despite the weekend’s setback.

Incredibly, Arsenal have never won the Champions League so going all the way this season would cement the team in Gunners folklore.

There is a long way to go before we get to the stage where medals are being handed out, but Arteta’s side are certainly amongst the best in Europe.

Sevilla have endured a tumultuous couple of seasons and their Europa League run last season was their ray of hope.

They’ve won just three competitive fixtures so far this season and sit just four points above the relegation zone in La Liga.

They’ve already sacked Jose Luis Mendilibar, the coach who guided them to last season’s European triumph. Diego Alonso has since been tasked with turning the club’s fortunes around.

The first leg of our bet builder is Arsenal to win.

They are unbeaten at the Emirates this season; winning five and drawing two. They’ve beaten Manchester City at home in the league and should have plenty of firepower to see off Sevilla.

The Spanish side’s only away win so far this season came against lower-league opposition in the Copa Del Rey. They have managed to pick up several draws but they have seldom travelled to face sides who have the quality of Arsenal

Sevilla’s matches this season have seen plenty of throws. Their games are averaging 46 throws in the Champions League, only Newcastle’s have seen more. This is well above the competition average of 37.92 per game. Their matches across all competitions have seen 46.8 throws on average.

Arsenal matches rank on the lower side in terms of throws. The Gunners’ league matches have seen the fourth fewest throws in the Premier League and this trend has continued in the Champions League with the last match against Sevilla being the exception. There were 41 throws in that match.

The required amount of throws for this bet to win has landed in all seven of Sevilla’s away matches in all competitions. This includes the Super Cup against Manchester City, whose matches are averaging 2.19 fewer throws per game than Arsenal’s in the Premier League this season.

Arsenal To Win & Over 38.5 Throws In The Match

Our longshot for this match includes the same angles as our main bet with a significant increase in the required amount of throws.

There have been 41 throws or more in Sevilla’s last six away matches.

In fact, just two of their competitive matches this season have seen fewer throws than required for this betting angle to win.
