Artorius delivers in the Curlin; Travers next, Brown says
Artorius won the $135,000 Curlin at Saratoga Race Course. It was his first win in a stakes race. He is trained by Chad Brown and trained under Irad Ortiz, Jr. The horse is a son of 2016 Grade 1 Travers winner Arrogate. Artorius is 2-for-3 with earnings of $142,250. He will start in the Grade. 1, $1.25 million Traverst on August 27. Wolfe County was scratched. Gilded Age finished second, one-half of a length ahead of Creative Minister. Western River, Golden Glider, Make It Big and Be Better rounded out the order of finish.
