Travers Stakes Day Picks And Preview On Biggest Day Of Racing At 2022 Saratoga Summer Meet

The 153rd running of the Travers is taking place at Saratoga on Saturday. The $1.25 million race is the biggest day of racing at the summer meet. There are six graded stakes and five Grade 1 races on the card. It will be shown live on FOX TV at 4:30 p.m. ET. TVG will also show the race live. Epicenter is favorite, but the field is very competitive. He finished third in the Kentucky Derby and second in a recent Jim Dandy Stakes.

Jackie’s Warrior (1/2) and Cody”s Wish (7/1) are the favourites for the 5th race.

Java Gold won the Man o’ War Cup in 1987. The race included Alysheba, Belmont Stakes and Haskell winner Bet Twice, Wood Memorial and Met Mile winner Gulch, Champagne and Jim Dandy Stake winner Polish Navy, Santa Anita Derby winner Temperate Sil, and Florida Derby and Man O” War winner Cryptoclearance.
