As schedule-maker, Satterfield would have nixed James Madison

Scott Satterfield would have nixed James Madison from the 2022 nonconference schedule if he was Louisville's football coach. The Cardinals are playing JamesMadison in Cardinal Stadium on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. (ESPNU). Louisville is off from Atlantic Coast Conference action before going on the road to play Clemson on November 12.

James Madison is playing UL. Satterfield would have preferred an FCS team to play this game. UL is seeking bowl eligibility and its first four-game winning streak since 2016. JMU is also trying to achieve bowl eligible and is on a two-week losing streak. The Dukes are averaging 38.6 points per game but may be without injured starting quarterback Todd Centeio.
