Australian Open 2023: Novak Djokovic hits practice courts in Adelaide, first Australian appearance since deportation in January 2022
Djokovic is in Adelaide this week for a practice session ahead of his first event for 2023. He is chasing Rafael Nadal's 22 major titles. The ATP 250 hardcourt event in South Australia begins on Sunday. Djokoviks was deported from Australia in January due to mandatory vaccination. New government has cancelled his automatic three-year visa ban. The Australian Open boss Craig Tiley reckons Djoksovic will be the player to beat. United Cup starts on Thursday. It will feature Felix Auger-Aliassime, Daniil Medvedev and Andrey Rublev.
