Baltimore Orioles vs Los Angeles Dodgers Prediction 7-17-23 MLB Picks

The Los Angeles Dodgers and the Baltimore Orioles meet Monday in MLB action from Oriole Park. The Dodgers are fresh off a weekend series versus the Mets, winning the first two games. In the Sunday finale, LA took a close loss. As for Baltimore, they just finished up against the Marlins. The O’s likewise won the first two games in that set, then on Sunday Baltimore eked out a victory to take the sweep. Check back all season long for free MLB picks at Sports Chat Place.

Los Angeles Dodgers

The Dodgers took a 6-0 win over the Mets on Friday and a 5-1 win in game two. In the Sunday finale Los Angeles had four team hits in a 10-inning loss 2-1. Bobby Miller went 4.2 innings in the start with one earned on three hits and a walk.

For the starter job Monday the Dodgers are gong with Emmet Sheehan. In four starts this year (the first four of his career) Sheehan is 2-0 with a 4.35 ERA and 16 Ks in 20.2 innings.

Baltimore Orioles

Over on the Baltimore side, they beat the Marlins 5-2 in game one and 6-5 in game two. In Sunday’s game three, the Orioles completed the sweep with a 5-4 win. Starting pitcher Kyle Bradish posted 7.1 clean frames with three hits and a walk.

As starting pitcher for Monday’s game Baltimore will go with Grayson Rodriguez. In his 10 starts this year (the first 10 of his career) Rodriguez is 2-2 with a 7.35 ERA and 56 Ks in 45.1 innings.

ANDREW’S FREE PICK

I’m going to stick with the Dodgers. Rodriguez had a good start versus Toronto back on May 20 (5.0 innings; two earned) but in two of his last three games he’s 0-2 with 6.2 combined innings and 16 earned runs on 15 hits and six walks. LA should have some opportunities here if Rodriguez can’t get off to a good start. On Sunday the Orioles really only had a couple of big innings and five hits among the team. The pitching performance carried Baltimore (until the ninth inning) in that win. Another good outing for the staff here would go a long way.
