Benfica vs Inter Milan Odds, Prediction & Betting Tips

Inter Milan travel to Portugal to take on Benfica on Wednesday evening in the Champions League. Here at bettingodds.com we’ve previewed the action and provided you with our two best bets.

Benfica vs Inter Free Bet Offer

  1. Place a £10 qualifying bet at their sportsbook with odds of 1.5 (1/2) or greater
  2. When your qualifying bet is settled you will get four free bets worth £10 each

Benfica currently sit bottom of Group D after a miserable European campaign that has seen them defeated in all four of their matches. The best they can now hope for is to finish third in the table and clinch a Europa League spot, however they will likely need to better Salzburg’s result on Wednesday before beating the Austrians on Matchday 6.

Inter have sealed their place in the knockout stage of the Champions League after collecting ten points from a possible 12. Whatever happens in this clash in Portugal, a win for Inter over Real Sociedad would see Simone Inzaghi’s side top the group and hopefully provide a kinder draw in the last-16.

Benfica vs Inter Tips

Inter Milan Draw No Bet

For our main bet of the evening we are backing the visitors in the ‘Draw No Bet’ market, meaning our stake will be returned should the match finish with the points being shared.

The only blemish on Inter Milan’s record across all competitions this season was a shock home defeat to Sassuolo which came at the end of September in Serie A. The Nerazzurri have been sensational this term and boast a record of W13 D3 L1 across all formats since the start of the 2023/24 campaign.

Despite having already qualified I think we will see a mature performance from Inter who are up against a Benfica side that have been woeful in Europe’s premier club competition this term.

Benfica have lost on all four outings in Group D and when they made the trip to Milan in October they were fortunate to only lose the game 1-0, with the hosts squandering plenty of big chances in a game which could have seen them bag four or five quite easily. All things considered, we are happy to back Inter under the guarantee our stake will be returned should Benfica pick up their first point.

Nicolas Otamendi to be carded

Should Benfica start the game like they did on their most recent European outing against Sociedad where they were 3-0 down after 20 minutes, things could turn a little sour at The Stadium of Light.

The one player we really like the look of to be carded is Nicolas Otamendi, who at the age of 35 could be left a little exposed up against Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram.

In the 2020/21 season, Otamendi was shown 13 yellows in 27 league appearances for Benfica and followed up with a further 17 yellows and one red over the course of the next two campaigns. A serial offender with over 100 cautions to his name in his career, we're getting behind the 5/2 that is available for him to be booked with Unibet.
