Napoli vs. AC Milan Odds, Predictions & Betting Tips

Napoli host AC Milan in the second-leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie on Tuesday evening with Inter Milan or Benfica awaiting the winners in the semis. We’ve called on Anthony Eadson to provide us with his best bets for the huge game in Naples.

The first leg between these two was a tightly-fought contest that resulted in Milan coming away 1-0 winners at the San Siro six days ago. Frank Anguissa was sent off for the visitors and will miss this game through suspension along with Napoli centre-back Kim Min-Jae who collected his third yellow card of this Champions League campaign.

The thought of a European semi-final between AC Milan and Inter Milan is one to savour, but Milan boss Stefano Piloi will be well aware this job is far from complete despite his side beating Napoli by an aggregate score of 5-0 across two matches already this month.

Taking a look at the match result odds and Napoli are the favourites on home soil priced at 7/10 to get the win in 90 minutes. The draw is on offer at 13/5, with an away win for Milan on show at 17/4. In terms of qualification, Napoli can be sided with at 21/20, while Milan are favourites to advance to the last-four at 7/10.

Napoli vs AC Milan Tips

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia To Commit 1 or More Fouls

First up on Tuesday evening I’ve picked out a selection from the fouls market and I’m backing Napoli’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to give away one or more in the game. At the time of writing this is available at Evens (1/1) with Paddy Power, while other betting sites such as Sky Bet go shorter at 8/11.

This is the first time that Napoli have reached the quarter-finals of this competition and with the Serie A title all but wrapped up, they will be giving everything here. The first leg was a fiery affair with seven yellows and one red card being shown.

I expect an equally heated contest here on Tuesday with high foul and card counts for both sides. In four of his last five league starts Kvaratskhelia has given away at least one foul with totals of 1,1,2,0,1. That sequence includes the league game against Milan at the start of April and I think the even money available on Tuesday is a shade too big considering the magnitude of this match.

Tanguy Ndombele to be carded

I’ve also had a small punt on Tanguy Ndmobele to be carded at 18/5 with Unibet. With Frank Anguissa suspended after two yellow cards in the first leg, the former Spurs man should slot into the starting XI for Napoli.

Ndombele has mainly been used as a substitute this season and has only played 660 minutes of league football. Despite the lack of minutes, no player has collected more yellows this season in Serie-A for Napoli than Ndombele with five. That equates to 0.7 cards per 90 this season and with other firms having this same selection as short as 5/2, I feel we are getting a solid price with Unibet at 18/5.
