Bengals vs. Cardinals NFL Player Props, Odds: Picks & Predictions

In ourBengals vs. Cardinals NFL player props for Week 5 based on the best NFL odds,we’re fading Joe Burrow and Cincinnati’s struggling pass attack.

Burrow entered the season as one ofthe favorites to lead the NFL in passing yards, but the banged-up quarterbackis averaging just 182 yards through the air in Cincy’s first four games.

Withthe 1-3 Bengals desperate for a victory to avoid falling too far behind in theAFC playoff race, we expect Cincinnati to go with a more run-heavy approachwhen it visits the Arizona Cardinals.

Here are our best Bengals vs. CardinalsNFL player props for Week 5 (NFL odds via our best NFL betting sites; pick confidence based on a1-to-5-star scale).

Bengalsvs. Cardinals NFL player props: Week 5

Joe Burrow Under 249.5 passing yards (-115 via DraftKings)⭐⭐⭐⭐

No team in the NFL has passed the ball ona higher percentage of plays so far than Cincinnati, and it hasn’t beenworking. Despite averaging nearly 40 throws per game, Burrow and the Bengalsare 29th in the NFL in passing yards, and they’ve been held to 222 or fewer inthree of four games so far.

Expect Cincy to try a different approachthis week as Burrow continues to play through a calf injury that is clearlyaffecting his ability to buy time in the pocket and get the ball downfield.Running the ball more should be effective against an Arizona defense that hasallowed nearly 150 rushing yards per game in its last three.

If Burrow has had trouble reaching the250-yard plateau in a pass-happy game plan, it’s hard to see him coming closeto it if the Bengals go with a more balanced style of play.

James Conner longest rush Over 14.5 yards (-105 via BetMGM) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Despite going Under his total carriesprop in eight of his last 10 games, Conner has eclipsed his total rushing yardsin nine of 11. That’s because he typically breaks off at least one lengthy runper game, cashing Over tickets on his longest rush prop in each of his lastseven.

So far this year, Conner has had runs ofat least 11 yards in all four games he’s played, including jaunts of 26 and 22.Going back to last season, he has broken off runs of 14 yards or more in eightof his last 10 games and 10 of 13.

Cincinnati’s defense has been vulnerableto the run so far this season, allowing opponents to gain at least 173 yards onthe ground in three of four games. Two different Titans had runs of 22 yards ormore last week, the Ravens’ Gus Edwards had a 20-yarder in Week 2, andCleveland’s Nick Chubb and Jerome Ford each gained 17 yards on a single rush in theseason opener.

Zach Ertz anytime touchdown (+310 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐

Arizona’s veteran tight end has yet tofind the end zone this season, but it seems like a matter of time. Ertz saw aseason-high 10 targets last week vs. the San Francisco 49ers and dropped what should havebeen his first TD of the campaign. He’s also caught six balls in three ofArizona’s first four contests.

Attacking the middle of the field hasbeen a productive red-zone strategy this season against the Bengals, who havealready given up three touchdowns to opposing tight ends.

If you’re going to bet Ertz to score atouchdown against Cincinnati, be sure to shop around. DraftKings was offeringjust +210 on this prop when I checked Thursday night, compared to a far moregenerous +310 return at Caesars and FanDuel.
