Best NBA prop bets today for Celtics vs. Raptors (How to bet Jayson Tatum)

The Boston Celtics are favored on the road against the Toronto Raptors on Monday, but the best way to bet on this game may be in the prop market.

Jaylen Brown is out for Boston in this game, and there are players that I absolutely love to pick up the slack for him for Boston tonight.

Plus, the Raptors have a guard that may be undervalued in this game. Let’s dive into the latest odds and picks:

Kristaps Porzingis OVER 20.5 points

In the long game that Kristaps Porzingis played without Jaylen Brown this season, he dropped 35 points against the Detroit Pistons.

While KP is averaging 19.2 points per game, he should see an uptick in usage with Brown out of the lineup.

Plus, the Raptors are without starting center Jakob Poeltl tonight, which should make things easier for KP down low.

Immanuel Quickley OVER 27.5 points, rebounds and assists

I broke down this pick for Quickley in today’s NBA Best Bets column on BetSided

“This has been one of my favorite bets since the Toronto Raptors acquired Immanuel Quickley, and after staying away in his last game, I’m going back to the well with a lower number on Monday.

“Quickley had just 18 PRA in a blowout loss to Utah his last time out, but he’s picked up 28 or more PRA in four of his seven games in Toronto – averaging 18.6 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game.

“I expect a bounce-back showing from Quickley in what should be a more positive game script after the Raptors rested players in a blowout. Quickley has put together some big games against Boston in the past, scoring 23, 38, and 24 points in three of his meetings since the start of 2023.”

Jayson Tatum OVER 4.5 assists

Jayson Tatum has played just two games without Brown this season, picking up 10 and six assists in those games.

The difference when Brown is out is that Tatum initiates more offense – and more isolation – than normal.

If the Raptors look to double Tatum, I’d expect him to be forced to move the ball – potentially to wide open shooters. Even though Tatum is averaging just 4.4 assists per game, he’s cleared this prop 15 times in the 2023-24 campaign.
