Best NBA prop bets today: SuperDraft player prop picks for Game 3 of Nuggets-Lakers

The seventh-seeded Lakers will look to stay perfect at home in the postseason tonight as they play the first-seeded Nuggets in Game 3 of the Western Conference semifinals (8:30 p.m. ET, ABC). Denver took care of business at home, winning Game 2 on Thursday night to take a commanding 2-0 series lead.

Jamal Murray had an outstanding performance in the Nuggets' five-point win, dropping game-high 37 points, including 23 points in the fourth quarter. The veteran point guard also grabbed 10 rebounds and dished out five assists. The Nuggets also saw two-time MVP Nikola Jokic collect his fourth-straight triple-double with 23 points, 17 rebounds, and 12 assists. As for the Lakers, LeBron James and Austin Reaves were the leading scorers with 22 points a piece. Anthony Davis, who had a fantastic Game 1 performance (40 points and 10 rebounds), struggled offensively with 18 points (4-15 FG) and 14 rebounds on Thursday night. Los Angeles hopes for a better outing from Davis and James in a must-win situation.

If basketball fans want to bet on more big performances from Jokic, Murray, James, or Davis, they can do so on SuperDraft. On SuperDraft, bettors can pick an over/under on two or more player props. If you hit both, you win up to 3X the amount wagered, and the return increases each time you add another prop. Think of it as a "Same Game Parlay." More legs equal more risk, but also a bigger potential payout.  However, not all players have the same props, so keep that in mind as you pick your over/under plays and try to win some cash during tonight's game.

SuperDraft Player Prop Picks for Nuggets-Lakers Game 3

LeBron James, SF, Lakers - OVER 0.5 points

LeBron James Nikola Jokic Lakers Nuggets 051223

We will take advantage of SuperDraft offering a free square on James' points prop for tonight's game. The 38-year-old superstar must have a big game as the Lakers try to avoid going down 0-3. In Game 2 on Thursday night, James scored 22 points on 9-of-19 shooting from the field but went 0-of-6 from three-point range.

James is struggling beyond the arc through the first two games (0-for-10), but he might play better tonight at home, where he's averaging 24.5 points per game in the postseason. We aren't sure if James will hit his original points prop (25.5), but we love for him to at least score one point for free square Saturday.

Michael Porter Jr., SF, Nuggets  - OVER seven rebounds

Michael Porter Jr. 122122

For the Nuggets to take a commanding 3-0 series lead on the road tonight, they will need Porter Jr. and the rest of the team to be competitive on the glass. Porter has done a good job of crashing the boards to start the WCF, averaging 8.5 rebounds per game (two games). In Game 2 on Thursday night, Porter Jr. had seven rebounds, which is coincidentally his rebounding prop for tonight's game.

The former Missouri standout has gone OVER seven rebounds in seven out of his past 13 games in the 2022-23 NBA playoffs. Nuggets fans and bettors alike would love to see Porter have double-digit rebounds tonight on the road, which he did in the last round against the Suns.

D'Angelo Russell, PG, Lakers - OVER 13.5 points

D'Angelo Russell Lakers 2023

Russell has struggled through the first two games of the Western Conference Finals but can change his and the Lakers' fortunes tonight with a stellar offensive performance. The 27-year-old guard is scoring nine points per game in this series and shooting a miserable 36.8 percent from the field and 12.5 percent from three-point range.

However, the 6-foot-4 point guard has played well in the postseason, averaging 14.7 points per game, and has gone OVER 13.5 points in eight out of 14 games. The Lakers do not need Russell to be Jamal Murray, but if he, Austin Reaves, and Dennis Schroder can combine for 45-plus points, it will go a long way in determining the result tonight.

Jamal Murray, PG, Nuggets - UNDER 5.5 assists

Jamal Murray

With most bettors likely playing Murray's points prop, we will pivot and take the UNDER 5.5 assists. The 26-year-old point guard had five assists in Game 2, making it the third consecutive game he's dished out less than 5.5 assists.

Murray is averaging 11.5 potential assists through the first two games of this series, but he's been asked to take over at various points and be a scorer for the Nuggets. It also doesn't help when you have an excellent passer in Jokic who takes most of the assist opportunities. The veteran point guard has gone UNDER 5.5 assists in seven out of his past 13 games and might need to be a scorer-first, passer-second tonight in L.A.
