Betfair Tingle Creek Chase report; Edwardstone brilliant winner

Tom Cannon won the Tingle Creek at Cheltenham. Last season's Sporting Life Arkle winner Edwardstone was the only serious rival. The winner was trained by Alan King. Greaneteen was beaten by a better horse. Edwardston is a contender for the Queen Mother Champion Chase in March. Betfair and Paddy Power are going 11/4 for Edward stone to win. Sky Bet are 4/1 from 10s for him. Paul Nicholls was trainer of the runner-up Greeneteen. He has come from the novice ranks. It's one of his favourite races. Tom Cannon finished second in it three times before today.

Edwardstone won the Tingle Creek Chase. Trainer Nicky Henderson is planning to put Shishkin in the Champion Chase at Cheltenham. He would be more likely to be in Gold Cup than the Champions Chase, he says. He wants to go up in trip and he wants the next race to take place further. The next big race at the Chelenham Festival is in January. It will be over 2.5 miles.
