Betting preview for New Mexico Bowl: BYU vs. SMU
BYU and SMU are playing in the New Mexico Bowl on Saturday, Dec. 17 at 4:30 p.m. ET. The teams met in 1980 Holiday Bowl, which BYU won 46-45. Jaren Hall injured his ankle in November and is doubtful to play. Jacob Conover, Hall's backup, went into the transfer portal and committed to Arizona State. Cade Fennegan, a Boise State transfer, is the likely starter if Hall can't play for BYU. SMu's offense is one of the more potent but their defense is less potent.
