Betting the 2022 Summer Stakes on a $25 Budget
The Pattison Summer Stakes will be run on Saturday, Sept. 17 at Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto. It's a one mile around one turn race for 2-year-old colts with a purse of $500,000. The winner will receive a free entry in the $1 million Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf at Keeneland on Nov. 4. Trainer Charles Appleby is enlisting the services of jockey William Buick. He won the Summer stakes last year with Godolphin-owned Albahr with Frankie Dettori riding. He has sent out runners in seven Grade 1 races and won five of them.
