Big 'Cap Day roundup: Forbidden Kingdom romps in San Felipe Stakes

Forbidden Kingdom won the Grade II San Felipe Stakes by 5¾ lengths under Juan Hernandez. The American Pharoah colt is the favorite for next month's Santa Anita Derby. He has won three of five starts with one second and a third-place finish. He picked up 50 Kentucky Derby qualifying points with the victory. Doppelganger finished second, Happy Jack came third.

As Time Goes By won the $500,000 Grade I event for older fillies and mares. It was the third consecutive victory for the 5-year-old daughter of American Pharoah.

Count Again won the $500,000 Grade I turf race by a head over Space Traveller. It was the third stakes victory of the day for trainer Philip D’Amato. Count Again is the son of Awesome Again and has won six of 15 starts.

Cezanne won the San Carlos Stakes by 2½ lengths over 16-1 longshot Principe Carlo. Brickyard Ride, American Theorem and Eight Rings were scratched. Cezane's career bankroll is now $267,000.

Leggs Galore won the Buena Vista Stakes. Forbidden Kingdom won San Felipe Stake.
