Big Ten football: Game-by-game predictions for Week 6

Nebraska beat Indiana last weekend. The Cornhuskers have won three of their first four games this season. Rutgers has lost two straight games.

Michigan is the No. 4 team in the nation and is coming off of a win at Iowa. Indiana is 3-2 but lost to Nebraska last weekend. Michigan is going to win this game.

Purdue and Maryland are going to play each other in the Big Ten football game in Week 6. The Terps are riding high off of a big win against Michigan State, whereas Purdue upset a ranked Minnesota the same weekend.

Wisconsin plays Northwestern this weekend. Northwestern upset Nebraska earlier this year. Wisconsin lost by 24 at home to Illinois last weekend, while Northwestern gave Penn State a close game. This is Wisconsin's first game without Paul Chryst as head coach.

Ohio State is a serious threat to the national title and is going to cover the 26-5 spread against Michigan State. The Spartans are 0-3 since beating two MAC programs to start the year and have lost every game by double digits.

Illinois is coming off a 34-10 win at Wisconsin. Iowa lost 27-14 to Michigan. The Hawkeyes' offense has been horrible. Illinois' defense was unable to keep Michigan's ground game in check.

Both No. 10 Penn State and No 5 Minnesota have bye weeks this weekend.
