Blue Jays: Three best January free agent signings in franchise history

Marcus Semien signed a one-year deal with the Blue Jays worth $18M. Semian was a finalist for the AL MVP and took home both the Gold Glove and Silver Slugger Awards for his position at second base. He also set the Major League record for most home runs in a single season by a second baseman with 45. The Oakland Athletics did not qualify him and he became a free agent. Texas Rangers signed him to a seven-years deal worth $175M and the club received a compensation pick for it.
