Backing the Over in a game involving Syracuse may seem risky, considering the Orange have averaged just 8.5 points per game during their four-game losing streak. However, Syracuse has not been able to stop a nosebleed defensively, and we expect the return to the JMA Wireless Dome after three consecutive games on the road to help their offensive issues.

Syracuse allowed three Virginia Tech players to run for 56 or more yards and at least a 6.6 yards per carry average in last week’s 38-10 loss. The Hokies scored on their first six possessions and had 341 total yards and 17 first downs in the opening 30 minutes, en route to season-highs in rushing yards (318) and total yards (528).

Syracuse quarterback Garret Shrader faced constant duress while getting sacked eight times and totaling just 138 passing yards. Being at home should help the Orange in pass protection, and Boston College’s defense isn't known for pressuring the quarterback, ranking 117th in Havoc.

Additionally, the Eagles rank in the bottom 36 in the country in Defense PPA and have allowed 21.3 points per game during a four-game winning streak despite facing just one team (Georgia Tech) that averages at least 24 points per game in that span.
