Brad Rawiller makes the move to Sydney

Just a little over a month since Brett Prebble decided to move his riding career to Sydney, another multiple Group 1 winning rider has decided to do the same.

Brad Rawiller is in Sydney, knowing that it will be a tough test as he looks to establish a new phase in his career after being based in Perth since the end of 2020.

The commitment and the will-power is there … but, in the first instance, it will all come down to the opportunities Rawiller is given and, after that, how those opportunities translate into results.

Rawiller will be in action at Newcastle on Saturday where he will ease himself gently into stride with ride aboard the Annabel Neasham trained gelding, Mister Hemsworth … the $2.15 favourite in race three … who would get Rawiller off to a confidence-building start if he were to perform to market expectations.

Rawiller’s key highlights to date would be his successive Group 1 wins in the Caulfield Guineas and the Coolmore aboard Weekend Hussler … and another run of four successive Group 1 wins aboard the same horse in the Oakleigh Plate, the Newmarket, the Randwick Guineas and the George Ryder.

His four Group 1 wins on Black Heart Bart in the Goodwood, the Underwood. the CF Orr and The Futurity are also a standout, underlining the rich vein of success Rawiller has already achieved in a career which now spans close to thirty years n the saddle.
