The second day of the Breeders' Cup at Del Mar Thoroughbred Club in California saw Arrogate and Gun Runner take center stage in the $6 million Classic. There was $21.5 million in total purse money up for grabs over the course of nine races.

Stormy Liberal won the $1 million Turf Sprint at the Breeders' Cup. Bar of Gold won first place in the Filly and Mare Sprint. He was a 60-1 long shot. He is the longest-priced winner in Breeder's Cup's 11-year history.
