Brighton vs Liverpool prediction and odds ahead of FA Cup clash

Liverpool return to Sussex with memories of the defeat just two weeks ago fresh on their minds as they return to face Brighton & Hove Albion in the FA Cup fourth round. The Reds return to the south coast as FA Cup holders and will be looking to improve on their form having only picked up one win in their last five outings in all competitions.

Bookies have priced Liverpool as slight favourites despite current form and the recent clash on the south coast at 7/5 with Betfred with the Albion just 8/5 for back-to-back wins against Jurgen Klopp's side and a draw is 12/5. This will be the eighth meeting between the two sides in the cup competition with the Reds picking up just three wins and two draws in that time - the last victory being a 6-1 humbling back in 2012.

But opponents Brighton have come leaps and bounds in that time and Klopp has already said the last time he faced Roberto De Zerbi was the worst match he has seen as Liverpool's head coach. The Italian coach has made an instant impact as Brighton boss in a short period of time as the club find themselves in sixth place with two games-in-hand over Tottenham Hotspur who sit above them and five points ahead.

Tips

  • Brighton/Draw double chance - 8/15

  • Over 2.5 goals - 4/7

  • Both teams to score - 1/2
