Bucks vs. Knicks odds, preview & NBA Christmas best bets

Forget about leaving milk and cookies for Santa. NBA Christmas is the top holiday tradition as far as we’re concerned.

The NBA features a five-game Christmas Day slate, including the New York Knicks hosting the Milwaukee Bucks. We’re covering all five contests, but first let’s preview and pick our top Knicks vs. Bucks odds.

2023 NBA Christmas Day Odds: Bucks vs. Knicks odds, picks and preview

A relatively new feature of the NBA schedule occasionally puts teams in the same city for back-to-back games. Monday’s matchup is the second of two straight tip-offs between the Knicks and Bucks, with the first occurring Saturday.

There are things to consider from a macro, perhaps even intangible perspective, in addition to Saturday’s results.

One, winning back-to-back games against the same opponent will be a tough task. And even though the Bucks are superior to the Knicks on paper, beating them twice at The Garden will be a tall task.

Not to mention, the Knicks are presumably tired of hearing about the Bucks’ eight-game win streak against them. This leads us to suggest a lean toward a split of the two games.

Instead of selecting them to win outright, however, we’re going to pick them to cover.

It’s reasonable to expect the Knicks to feed off the home-crowd juice, but a raucous road environment won’t easily intimidate Giannis Antetokounmpo, Damian Lillard and Co. We don’t anticipate them being able to run away from Bucks in this spot.

One way or another, we like the Bucks’ recent dominance over the Knicks to end. Just consider Saturday’s matchup before locking in your Christmas Day NBA wagers.

Knicks vs. Bucks Same-Game Parlay: (+221 or better)

  • Knicks +3 (-110 or better)
  • Over 240.5 (-110 or better)

The Bucks aren’t the same defensive juggernaut they’ve been in recent years, but they can fill it up offensively (second in PPG, third in efficiency, fourth in pace). The Knicks, meanwhile, may not be the next coming of "Showtime," but they’re top 10 in offensive efficiency.

They’re next to last in pace, but also trending heavily toward Overs across the last month. Playing the second of back-to-back games against one another will – in theory – allow for each side to make adjustments that lend to more offensive flow on both ends of the court.
