Mobile betting is not legal yet in Maryland, but it will be soon. Caesars Sportsbook in Horseshoe Baltimore is launching it today.
Caesars is one of the leading operators coming to Maryland. Caesar's is the sports betting partner of Horseshoe Baltimore, which unveiled its land-based Caeresars Sportsbook in December 2021.
Maryland Sports Wagering Application Review Commission will approve online sports betting licenses by the end of the year. The commission will continue to receive online applications until Oct. 21, 2022. After that, SWARC can take up to 45 days to review the applications and distribute licenses.
Maryland Lottery and Gaming is working on background investigations for businesses planning to apply for mobile licenses.
