Callum Wilson predicts who'll win the Premier League this year

Callum Wilson has shared who he thinks will win the Premier League this season out of the two big contenders from the last campaign.

Arsenal came extremely close to winning the Premier League last season but the experience and insane quality of Manchester City eventually won out and Pep Guardiola‘s side made it three Premier League titles on the bounce.

Now, speaking on the Footballer’s Football Podcast, Callum Wilson has given his prediction as to who is going to lift the famous trophy in May.

Callum Wilson thinks City’s strength in depth will be too much for Arsenal

“I think Man City will win the league,” said Wilson. “They have the knowhow at the back end of the season when the time matters, they have the strength in depth and they have been in that position where they have chased, where they have been chased.

“I just think Pep and his guys at the minute are a difficult team to play against and people will be more fearful of playing City than Arsenal.”

It’s hard to disagree with Wilson here, as he said, the experience and squad depth will be more than enough to see them through.

Wilson resisted the temptation to say Newcastle will be title challengers

Erling Haaland will once again be tearing defenses apart and scoring for fun which will propel City up the table, so as long as he and Kevin DeBruyne stay fit there’ll be no stopping them.

It would have been nice to hear Wilson say Newcastle could be up there, even if a bit tongue in cheek, but I understand why he didn’t as it could backfire spectacularly.

Newcastle are more than happy going about things under the radar and surprising everybody and I’m sure that’s how Wilson would like it too.
