Can Champion Yibir Regain His Stellar American Form in Man o' War?

Yibir is the favorite for Saturday's Grade 1 Man o' War Stakes at Belmont Park. The race is Belton Park's first Grade One of 2022. Yibr's last American victory came in last September's Jockey Club Derby Invitational. He also won the Breeders’ Cup Turf and the Eclipse Award as Champion Male Turfer.

Yibir finished second in two races this season. He will race at Belmont Park this weekend. His trainer Charlie Appleby is confident he will be a big player.  

Yibir finished second in the Sheema Classic. Trainer Appleby used the race as a prep for the Man o' War. Yibar is a champion at flat galloping tracks like Meydan and Belmont.   The American tracks seem to suit Yiber more than European ones.

Yibir is the champion in the United States. Gufo is a well-traveled horse. He won the Pan American at Gulfstream Park.

Gfo is going to race at 1 1/2 miles. He finished 10th in the Breeders’ Cup Turf. His trainer Christophe Clement knows he can run at 11 furlongs.
