This is one of just six NBA matchups on the Tuesday slate, with both teams having Monday off after competing on Sunday. Boston blew out San Antonio by 44 at home, while the Wizards fell to the Raptors by 10 in Toronto in their most recent efforts.

Keep reading for our Celtics vs Wizards betting prediction.

The Boston Celtics record is good for second in the East as they remain two games back of Milwaukee with seven games to play. They’ve won three in a row and five of six, but the Bucks have kept them at arm’s length thanks to a four out of five stretch of their own.

Jayson Tatum didn’t even play in the lopsided affair against the Spurs on Sunday, but Jaylen Brown more than made up for his absence, dropping 41 points and pulling in 13 rebounds. It marked the third time this season he eclipsed the 40-point mark when checking his NBA player stats.

Six of the C’s final seven games are against Eastern Conference opponents, including Thursday’s major clash with the Bucks on national television.

The Wizards, meanwhile, haven’t been at the .500 mark since November 27, and even if they win out, they won’t get back to that spot before the season concludes. Washington has dropped five of their last six and eight of their previous 10 coming into this one, falling three games back of the 10th and final spot in the East.

Looking at the Washington Wizards stats, their point differential is 23rd best in the NBA, while Boston sits at the top. The only teams they’ve beaten going back to March 4 are the Pistons and Spurs, two of the worst three teams in the entire Association.

Tatum is expected to play on Tuesday after sitting out Sunday’s win with a hip contusion. Payton Pritchard is also probable as he recovers from a heel issue.

The Wizards will be without Bradley Beal (knee) and Kyle Kuzma (ankle), while Monte Morris (groin) and Daniel Gafford (foot) are both listed as questionable.

According to the NBA odds today:

Over/Under: The Celtics are favored by 11.5 with an over/under of 224 points.

Moneyline: Boston is -650 on the moneyline, while Washington is a +460 underdog.

This is the third game in a row that Boston is laying double digits, covering the previous two in blowout fashion. However, both of those were on their home floor, and on the road is a little different story.

Boston has been a double-digit road favorite on four occasions this season, and in all four games, they have failed to cover the number. Yes, Washington will be without two of their three best players, but add in the lookahead factor (Bucks looming for Boston on Thursday), and we’ll snatch up the 11.5 as the C’s sleepwalk their way through this one.
