Following some high-scoring results in the last round of fixtures, we have scoured the latest to find four selections we're happy to back.

Here is our betting analysis on four key matches taking place across the continent on Wednesday.

Celtic to beat Lazio

If this match were to be played at a neutral venue, Lazio would usually fancy their chances of winning reasonably comfortably.

But Celtic Park is a real leveller. The atmosphere that the home fans generate at Parkhead is legendary, especially on European nights.

If the Hoops are to progress to the knockout phase of the Champions League, they will need to pick up a fair few points on home turf.

A 2-0 defeat at Feyenoord last time out shows how difficult it will be for Celtic to finish in the top two of a group that also contains Atletico Madrid.

Brendan Rodgers’ side have made an excellent start to the Premiership season though, while Lazio are only two points above the Serie A relegation zone.

Celtic must target all three points against Maurizio Sarri’s men on matchday two and we're prepared to go against the odds on by backing a home win.

Newcastle vs PSG Under 2.5 Goals

Newcastle United relied on their defensive solidity last time out as they ground out a 0-0 draw against AC Milan.

The Magpies were second best at San Siro and they would have suffered a defeat had Milan been more clinical in front of goal.

Even so, Eddie Howe will have been pleased with the resilience and grit his players showed against the seven-time European champions.

Newcastle will need those same qualities against Paris Saint-Germain, even though we can expect them to be a little more front-footed on Wednesday.

There will be no shortage of attacking quality on display at St James’ Park, with PSG set to field a front three of Kylian Mbappe, Ousmane Dembele and Randal Kolo Muani.

But Newcastle have kept five clean sheets on the bounce and they will make life difficult for the French champions.

Dortmund vs Milan Both Teams To Score & Over 2.5 Goals

Neither of these teams were triumphant in their opening group games and both will be intent on getting their first wins of the Champions League season at Signal Iduna Park.

Borussia Dortmund lost 2-0 at PSG last month and also made a shaky start to the Bundesliga season.

But they have now won three games on the bounce in Germany’s top flight, scoring eight goals along the way.

AC Milan have won six of their seven Serie A encounters up to now, so they too are in good form.

Both teams will go on the attack in this one, so we're sitting on the fence when it comes to the result, but we're expecting a few goals.

Manchester City to beat RB Leipzig

Manchester City will head to Germany on the back of two consecutive defeats by Newcastle (in the EFL Cup) and Wolverhampton Wanderers (in the Premier League).

They have not lost three games on the bounce in all competitions since April 2018 but a trip to the Red Bull Arena will not be straightforward.

Indeed, City could only draw 1-1 at Leipzig in February, while their previous visit ended in a 2-1 defeat.

Bayern Munich also failed to emerge victorious away to Marco Rose’s men as the Bundesliga champions came from 2-0 down to draw 2-2.

But we fancy City to bounce back and come out on top in what looks like their toughest assignment of the group stage.

Rodri is available despite domestic suspension and his return to the starting XI will be a huge boost.
