Chase Elliott settles for runner-up result at Road America

Chase Elliott finished second in the Kwik Trip 250 at Road America. He had a steering issue on the pace laps. Tyler Reddick won the race. Elliott extended his championship lead to 33 points over Ryan Blaney. He's now winless in his last six road course races. he won seven of the previous 15 road courses. on which he was involved. The last time he had won was at the RoadAmerica last year. It was his first career Cup race, he finished 3.3 seconds behind Reddik. His team won. it's the third time Elliott has finished 2nd or worse in a road race in which his car has been involved in an accident.
