Chelsea vs Man City simulated to get a Premier League score prediction

Chelsea will be looking to carry momentum forward from their victory over Spurs when they face a tough test against Manchester City on Sunday.

Nicolas Jackson grabbed his first Chelsea hat trick on Monday evening when the Blues beat rivals Tottenham 4-1 in the Premier League, with Cole Palmer grabbing the other in one of the games of the season so far. The victory moved Chelsea to 10th in the Premier League table, but next up for the Blues is table toppers Man City.

Mauricio Pochettino's side has won just one home game in the league this season with Stamford Bridge far from a fortress, but their recent record against Man City is even worse. The Blues have lost all six of their last six meetings against City, failing to score once in that time.

So, could Chelsea pick up another big win on Sunday? Let's take a look.

We simulated Chelsea vs Man City to get a score prediction

To complete this simulation, we used EA FC 24 and updated the squads with the latest injuries and suspensions.

We predict that Chelsea could line up in a 4-3-3 formation, with their line-up as follows: Sanchez; James, Silva, Disasi, Colwill; Gallagher, Enzo, Caicedo; Palmer, Jackson, Sterling.

We predict that City could set up in a 4-3-3 formation, with their line-up as follows: Ederson; Walker, Dias, Akanji, Gvardiol; Rodri, Bernardo, Alvarez; Foden, Haaland, Grealish.

It was the worst start possible for Chelsea, with Man City going a goal ahead within three minutes when Rodri found the bottom corner from the edge of the box. City were in full control, and the visitors managed to double their lead just 14 minutes in.

The link-up between Bernardo Silva and Phil Foden down the right was causing problems for Chelsea, and some fantastic work from the Englishman saw him nutmeg Levi Colwill to break into the box. Foden flicked the ball to Silva on the overlap, and one-on-one, the midfielder tucked into the far corner for 2-0.

City were dominating Chelsea all over the pitch, and just before the break Guardiola's side seemed to wrap the game up as Erling Haaland tapped in Jack Grealish's drilled cross into the box. With a commanding lead, City sat back and held the ball for the majority of the second half, but they still had time to grab a fourth before the full-time whistle.

As Chelsea were pickpocketed on the halfway line, City broke forward in numbers, with Silva leading the charge. Outnumbering the Blues, Silva found Julian Alvarez who squared to Haaland, and the striker tapped in with ease for his second and City's fourth of the game.
