Chiefs Manawa overwhelm gallant Blues in decider to win first Super Rugby Aupiki title

Chiefs Manawa beat the Blues 35-0 to win the inaugural Super Rugby Aupiki title. The Chiefs finished with three successive wins. Covid-19 has compromised the competition and only hundreds could attend. The competition has been a resounding success and the potential for expansion with Australian and Fijian teams is an opportunity that can't be missed. Black Ferns skipper Les Elder lifted the trophy. It was fitting for the title to be the first title after the exhibition match last year. There were more Black Ferns and sevens stars for this year's three rounds.

Aldora Itunu and Krystal Murray were shown yellow cards in the 41st and 42nd minute respectively. The Blues were down to 13 players and Tui scored their second try. Hazel Tubic, Portia Woodman and Langi Veainu scored late tries to finish the job.
