Eloise Blackwell and Renee Wickliffe are injured and not fit to play in the Pacific Four Series. Ruahei Demant will captain the team for the first time. The Black Ferns have five tests before their World Cup opener against Australia at Eden Park on October 8. Ruby Tui and Kaipo Olsen-Baker are among the 10 uncapped players. The other uncapable players are hooker Natalie Delamere, props Lucy Anderson, Tanya Kalounivale and Angel Mulu, lock Chelsea Bremner, loose forward Tafito Lafaele, and backs Amy du Plessis and Grace Steinmetz.
