Kawhi Leonard against Victor Wembanyama is certainly worthy of being televised.

San Antonio took a 20-point lead against Memphis and looked as if they’d lead wire-to-wire in a comfortable victory.

But as this young team sometimes does, they collapsed. The Grizzlies outscored them 69-40 in the second half and 33-19 in the final quarter.

The Clippers haven’t fared too much better having gone 1-6 in their last seven games. Last night’s win against the Rockets was much needed.

At just 4-7 on the season, it’s fair to say there have been teething problems with James Harden’s arrival. So much so, Russell Westbrook has dropped to the bench.

That should allow for more continuity between Harden and others and it will also allow the Clippers to play at a better pace.

Their offence is averaging 111 points per game on the road but they should be able to match the Spurs better, who will happily play up-tempo basketball.

San Antonio’s defence is shipping 122ppg while the Clippers are allowing 111ppg.

Nine of their previous 10 have flown over the total and we’ve seen the Clippers put up at least 118 in five of their last 10 outings.
