College baseball: NCAA Tournament predictions for every regional

With spring football well in the rearview mirror, it's college baseball's time of year. The NCAA Tournament gets started Friday afternoon with regional action across the country, and 16 pods of four teams each will play mini double-elimination tournaments to decide who advances to Super Regionals, the sport's de facto Sweet 16. Promising weather conditions combined with the more offensive nature of the college game suggests there will be plenty of entertaining baseball this weekend.

No. 1 overall seed Tennessee enters the postseason as the strong favorite to win the College World Series, but a handful of other teams will try to make a push as well. Pac-12 powers Stanford and Oregon State have had great seasons, and Texas A&M surged down the stretch to put itself in position to contend.

In addition, the NCAA Tournament has produced a good number of true Cinderella winners over the years. Wacky things can happen at this time of year when balls start flying out of the yard with regularity, and the first two-plus months of the season do not mean much at this point.
