College football bowl game picks: Top moneyline, point spread and over/under predictions

The college football season is coming to an end. There are a lot of bowl games coming up.

The college football bowl games are taking place before the national championship game on January 9. Cheez-It is sponsoring two games this year.

The odds are as of 10:30 p.m. on 12/13/22.

Miami Ohio RedHawks take on UAB Blazers in the Bahamas Bowl.

Miami's starting quarterback, Brett Gabbert, is in the transfer portal. Aveon Smith is the backup quarterback for the Blazers. It's the last game of interim coach Bryant Vincent's reign. The Blazers are -11.

UTSA Roadrunners RedHawks will play Troy Trojans in the Cure Bowl.

Both teams finished with exceptional 11-2 records. Troy covered the spread in all six games away from home this year.

Cincinnati Bearcats take on Louisville Cardinals in the Fenway Bowl.

Cincy's head coach, offensive coordinator and defensive coordinator have all left the team. Louisville's new head football coach was coaching Louisville just a few weeks ago.

Florida Gators take on Oregon State Beavers in Las Vegas Bowl.

Oregon State is on a six-game ATS win streak. The Beavers beat then-No. 10 Oregon last season.

Washington State Cougars take on Fresno State Bulldogs in the LA Bowl.

Fresno State has hit the over in five of its past seven games. Wazzou scored or allowed 50-plus points twice in the month of November.

Rice Owls take on Southern Miss Golden Eagles in the LendingTree Bowl.

Southern Miss is 4-1-0 ATS in its past six games. Rice is likely starting a true freshman with 40 total pass attempts. Eagles are -6.5 (-110)

New Mexico Bowl features SMU Mustangs vs. BYU Cougars.

Rashee Rice and Dylan Goffney are out for this game. The Mustangs are playing against a team that has a lot of receiving yards.

North Texas Mean Green take on Boise State Broncos in Frisco bowl game.

North Texas has covered four of its past six spreads as an underdog. The best bet is Mean Green +10.5 (-113).

Marshall Thundering Herd and UConn Huskies are playing in the Myrtle Beach Bowl.

Marshall and UConn are playing in the college football bowl game on Monday, December 19 at 2:30 p.m. ET. Marshall and Connecticut ranked 95 and 115 in offence this season. They have hit the under in 16 of their 24 games combined.

EMU Eagles will play SJSU Spartans in the Idaho Potato Bowl.

The Eagles are 5-1 away from home this year, while the Spartans are just 1-4.

Liberty Flames will play Toledo Rockets in the Boca Raton Bowl.

Liberty lost its final three games straight up as the favourite. The head coach left for Auburn. Toledo is coming off a MAC title victory in which it allowed only seven points.

Western Kentucky Hilltoppers will play South Alabama Jaguars in the New Orleans Bowl.

The Hilltoppers are 6-1-0 in their last 8 games and the Jaguars are 4-6-2 in the last 6. The HillToppers' best bet is to bet under 56 points (-110).

Baylor Bears are playing in the Armed Forces Bowl against Air Force Falcons.

Air Force's offence is built on running the ball. Baylor's defence allowed just 3.8 yards per carry this season. Bears are -6 (-113) against Air Force.

UL Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns will play Houston Cougars in the Independence Bowl.

The over was 10-2 this year in Houston's games. Houston’s WR1, Nathaniel Dell, is heading to the NFL this spring, but he's staying for the bowl game.

Wake Forest Demon Deacons take on Missouri Tigers in Gasparilla Bowl.

Wake has lost four of its past five games. Mizzou capped its season with an upset win over Arkansas and knocked off No. 19 South Carolina on the road.

MTSU Blue Raiders take on SDSU Aztecs in the Hawaii Bowl.

The Blue Raiders won four of their final five games. They have a 2-0 straight-up record as the underdog in that span.

NMSU Aggies are playing in the Quick Lane Bowl against BSGU Falcons.

The Aggies are playing in the college football bowl game on Monday, December 26 at 2:30 p.m. ET. Half of the Aggie's quarterback timeshare left the team, but Gavin Frakes helped guide the football team to five wins in its final six games.

Georgia Southern Eagles take on Buffalo Bulls in Camellia Bowl.

Buffalo needed to beat Akron to reach bowl eligibility. Georgia Southern covered in both games it was favoured this year.

Memphis Tigers take on Utah State Aggies in First Responder Bowl.

Memphis hit the under in its final three games of the season. Utah State's Calvin Tyler Jr. has opted out. The best bet is under 61.5 points (-108).

Coastal Carolina Chanticleers will play ECU Pirates in Birmingham Bowl.

Coastal's Grayson McCall will play quarterback for Coastal in the bowl game on Tuesday, December 27 at 6:45 p.m. ET. ECU averages over 30 points per game and Coastal has allowed 45 or more points to its past two opponents.

Wisconsin Badgers play Oklahoma State Cowboys in the Guaranteed Rate Bowl.

Both teams' starting quarterbacks are in the transfer portal. Neither team has a seasoned backup. The under 43.5 points is the best bet.

UCF Knights are playing in the Military Bowl against Duke Blue Devils.

Duke won four of its final five games this season and all four losses this year came by a single score. The Blue Devils moneyline is (-132). The game is on Wednesday, December 28 at 2:00 p.m. ET.

Kansas Jayhawks take on Arkansas Razorbacks in Liberty Bowl.

Both teams hit the over in five of their final seven games and 16 of 24 times combined this season. The over is 68.5 points (-108). The game is on Wednesday, December 28 at 5:30 p.m. ET.

Oregon Ducks take on UNC Tar Heels in the Holiday Bowl.

Ducks and Tar Heels are playing on Wednesday, December 28 at 8:00 p.m. ET. Ducks lost three straight games and are -14 (-109) at home.

Texas Tech Red Raiders take on Ole Miss Rebels in the Texas Bowl.

Ole Miss went 1-4-1 ATS to finish the season, while Texas Tech won and covered in its final three games.

Syracuse is on a five-game losing skid. Minnesota has won by at least a touchdown in four of their past five games. The Golden Gophers are a good bet at 7 (-127).

Oklahoma Sooners take on Florida State Seminoles in Cheez-It Bowl.

Oklahoma went 6-6 despite being favoured in 11 of its games. The one time the Sooners were underdogs, they were beaten 49-0 by Texas. Florida State is a -113 favorite against Oklahoma.

Texas Longhorns take on Washington Huskies in the Alamo Bowl.

Washington and Texas are playing in the college football bowl game on Thursday, December 29 at 9:00 p.m. ET. Washington won six straight games to finish the season. Texas running back Bijan Robinson hasn't opted out yet, but he's expected to.

Maryland Terrapins play NC State Wolfpack in the Mayo Bowl.

NC State and Maryland are playing in the college football bowl game on Friday, December 30 at 12:00 p.m. ET. Five of NC State's past seven games have fallen under 47 points. Maryland's under is 3-1 in its last four games.

Pitt Panthers take on UCLA Bruins in Sun Bowl.

Pitt QB Kedon Slovis left the program and his backups combined for just 32 pass attempts this year. UCLA's 10th-ranked scoring offence (39.6 points/game) is expected to score a lot against Pitt. Bruins are -6 (-110) at the moneyline.

Notre Dame Fighting Irish take on South Carolina Gamecocks in the Gator Bowl.

Gamecocks are playing in a college football bowl game on Friday, December 30 at 3:30 p.m. ET. They won their last two games despite being double-digit underdogs.

Ohio Bobcats are playing in the Arizona Bowl against Wyoming Cowboys.

Wyoming and Ohio are playing in the college football bowl game on Friday, December 30 at 4:30 p.m. ET. Ohio's Kurtis Rourke is injured and the game is expected to be low-scoring. The under has hit in each of Wyoming's final five games.

Tennessee Volunteers take on Clemson Tigers in the Orange Bowl.

Cade Klubnik was excellent for Clemson in the ACC championship game. Hendon Hooker is out for Tennessee. Clemson is a slight favorite at 6 (-114) against Tennessee in Friday's game at 8:00 p.m. ET.

Iowa Hawkeyes take on Kentucky Wildcats in the Music City Bowl.

Both teams are outside the top 100 in scoring. Kentucky saw the under hit in 11 of 12 games this year. The best bet is to bet the game at under 31.5 points (-113).

Alabama Crimson Tide and Kansas State Wildcats are playing in the Sugar Bowl.

Alabama has some potential opt-outs, including quarterback Bryce Young and linebacker Will Anderson. K-State won't know the health status of quarterback Adrian Martinez until closer to kickoff. The best bet is to bet the under 54.5 points (-110).

TCU Horned Frogs will play Michigan Wolverines in the Fiesta Bowl.

Michigan beat 12 of its 13 opponents by a touchdown or more. The Wolverines rank inside the top 10 in both scoring offence and scoring defence.

Ohio State Buckeyes take on Georgia Bulldogs in the Peach Bowl.

Georgia's No. 2-ranked defence will take on Ohio State's second-rated offence. The over bet is the best bet.

Miss. State Bulldogs will play Illinois Fighting Illini in ReliaQuest Bowl.

Illinois is playing in the college football bowl game on Monday, January 2 at 12:00 p.m. ET. Illinois is coming off a 41-3 win over Northwestern. The best bet is the Illini moneyline (-125).

Tulane Green Wave take on USC Trojans in Cotton Bowl.

The game is on Monday, January 2 at 1:00 p.m. ET. Caleb Williams is the Heisman winner, but the other side is 11-2 ATS. USC is going to struggle. The best bet is Green Wave +1.5 (-109).

LSU Tigers take on Purdue Boilermakers in Citrus bowl game.

Purdue and LSU are playing in the college football bowl game on Monday, January 2 at 1:00 p.m. ET. Purdue won the season, while LSU won its final seven games.

Penn State plays Utah in the Rose Bowl.

Penn State lost to Michigan and Ohio State. Utah is coming off a dominant Pac-12 championship win over USC.
