College football games today: Week 4 schedule for Friday, Sept. 23

The college football schedule continues into Week 4 with a trio of games set to kick off today. There's one Power 5 head-to-head matchup involving ACC rivals, one Mountain West vs. Conference USA and two after dark kickoffs on the West Coast.

Syracuse is 3-0 this season. Virginia won its first game in the ACC. Nevada has had a slow start to the season, surrendering 82 points combined in its last two games. Air Force is a good team.

Air Force is ranked 130th in the nation in rushing. It was held to 171 yards in a 3-point loss to Wyoming. Boise State is the FPI's pick for the game.

Boise State and UTEP are playing each other today. Boise State has won all 6 previous meetings. Hank Bachmeier had 340 yards and 2 scores in the last game. Gavin Hardison is almost to 6,000 career passing yards. Tyrin Smith is 4th nationally in receiving yards (437) and leads Conference USA in receptions (27)
