College Football Odds: Tennessee vs. Vanderbilt prediction, odds

Tennessee is playing in a New Year's Six bowl game against Vanderbilt. The team has not been to a top-tier bowl since the 2000 Fiesta Bowl. In 2016, Vanderbilt knocked Tennessee out of the running for a bowl. Tennessee has to win this game to avoid being pushed out again. Vanderbilt has won two straight SEC games for the first time in long time. They snapped a 26-game SEC losing streak two weeks ago at Kentucky. Joe Milton has been the backup quarterback to Hendon Hooker this season. He has a chance to make a significant contribution to the team. It would be crushing to get pushed from a big bowl once again if they lose to Vanderbilt again and are not invited to another one.

Joe Milton played for Michigan before transferring to Tennessee. He should be able to manage against a low-ranked Vanderbilt pass defense.

Vanderbilt has won back to back SEC games. The Commodores are in a good position to bother Tennessee's weak defense.
