College football situational betting spots for Week 5

There are important games for programs at the Group of Five level. Division and conference titles are what teams strive for. There will be situational spots in conference play related to revenge. I'll highlight those spots for Week 5. It's important to do your homework before betting.

UTSA Roadrunners are at home to play Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders. MTSU was 0-20 against ranked opponents before beating Miami 45-31. UTSA was able to get back on track against Texas Southern a week after getting blown out by Texas.

Texas State Bobcats are favored by 23 points at James Madison Dukes. The Duke came from behind to beat App State. JMU has started 1-0 as a member of the Sun Belt.

Texas Tech Red Raiders and Kansas State Wildcats are both underdogs in their respective games. The Red Raider's last game was a 27-14 loss to NC State. Kansas won against Oklahoma in 2020.

Navy Midshipmen at Air Force Falcons is a big favorite at 15.5 points. Navy just picked up an upset win against East Carolina last week. Air force blew out Nevada on Friday night. The Falcons have won the last two meetings with Navy by a combined score of 63-10.

Georgia State Panthers play at Army Black Knights at West Point. The Panthers have extra time to prepare for Army's triple option, but it's an early kickoff at the West point. Georgia State has to focus and prepare to defend this rushing scheme.

Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks are on the road at Arkansas State Red Wolves (-7.5, 60.0). Louisiana- Monroe won the Battle of the Bayou last weekend. Arkansas-State won a rivalry game at home for the first time since 2004.
