College Football Upset Watch for Week 5: Putting a Pair of Big Ten Teams on Notice

This week Athlon Sports is focusing on the college football "Upset Watch" for Week 5.

There are five teams on "upset watch" for the college football season. Last week, Appalachian State went down to FBS newcomer James Madison.

Georgia Southern is looking to upset Coastal Carolina in the Group of 5. Minnesota's team is considered the most complete in Big Ten West. Purdue's two losses have come by a combined seven points to Penn State and Syracuse.  Purdue's quarterback Aidan O'Connell will give Minnesota a tough test.

Stanford is coming into the game off back-to-back losses to the two best teams in the Pac 12. Oregon is on the other hand coming off an emotional win against Washington State.

No. 12 Utah takes on Oregon State. The Beavers beat USC last week. Iowa takes the field against Michigan. Michigan beat Maryland by seven points last time.   The Wolverines' defense is elite and their offense is showing some signs of life. They are double-digit underdogs. It's going to be a slugfest.
