Come point to point racing this weekend
The new British point-to-point season opens on the first weekend of November with the East Cornwall fixture at Great Trethew. There are two other fixtures in the area before Christmas at Dunsmore near Tiverton and at the Royal Cornwall Showground, Wadebridge. The Philip Warren Butchers-sponsored flat race heads up the day with National Champion jockey James King riding Connie May. The Kings Head Pub sponsor the Open Maiden race for Seven year old’s and over. Lady Samson catches the eye and could progress for jockeys Darren Edwards and Tim Dennis. Frozen Account for team Dean Summersby and Josh Newman are both making their racecourse debuts.
